Map showing OU2 Sites

- Site A

Site A is a shallow soil and groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are metals and VOCs for both soil and groundwater. Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring. One cleanup action, implementation of land use controls (LUCs), is ongoing. Groundwater cleanup actions currently in place include groundwater monitoring, LUCs, alternate water supply and well abandonment and monitored natural attenuation (MNA). Groundwater characterization and cleanup has been completed for Site A.  In 2021, a vapor intrusion (VI) study was completed which determined that soil vapor results were not considered to pose a risk to the receptors and that the leading edge of the groundwater plume did not extend into the residential community directly north of the TCAAP property boundary. Sampling of newly installed monitoring wells in 2021 and 2022 supports this determination.

- Site C

Site C is a shallow soil and groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are metals and VOCs (soil) and lead (groundwater). Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater. One cleanup action, implementation of LUCs, is ongoing. Groundwater containment and discharge of extracted water have been completed for Site C, while groundwater/surface water monitoring and LUCs are ongoing.

- Site D

Site D is a deep soil and groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are VOCs (including TCE) for both soil and groundwater. Ongoing groundwater cleanup actions include hydraulic containment and contaminant removal from the source area, groundwater treatment, treated water discharge, institutional controls, review of new technologies to help address affected groundwater, and groundwater monitoring. Completed soil cleanup actions include restricted site access, soil vapor extraction (SVE) system treatment, maintenance of existing site caps, maintenance of surface drainage controls and characterization of shallow soil and dump. Ongoing groundwater monitoring is being implemented as a part of sitewide OU2 deep groundwater monitoring.

- Site E

Site E is a shallow soil impact site, its primary COCs are metals. Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring. One cleanup action, implementation of LUCs, is ongoing.

- Site G

Site G is a deep soil and groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are VOCs (including TCE) for both soil and groundwater. Ongoing groundwater cleanup actions include hydraulic containment and containment removal from the source area, groundwater treatment, treated water discharge, institutional controls, review of new technologies and groundwater monitoring. Completed soil cleanup actions include restricted site access, SVE system treatment, maintenance of existing site caps, maintenance of surface water drainage and characterization of shallow soils and dump. Ongoing groundwater monitoring is being implemented as a part of sitewide OU2 deep groundwater monitoring.

- Site H

Site H is a shallow soil impact site, its primary COCs are metals. Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring. One cleanup action, implementation of LUCs, is ongoing.

- Site I

Site I is a shallow and deep groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are VOCs. Ongoing shallow groundwater remedial actions include groundwater monitoring and LUCs. Ongoing deep groundwater cleanup actions include hydraulic containment and contaminant removal from the source area, groundwater treatment, treated water discharge, institutional controls, review of new technologies to help address affected groundwater, and groundwater monitoring.

- Site K

Site K is a shallow groundwater impact site, its primary COCs are VOCs (including TCE). Completed cleanup actions include the installation of sentinel wells and additional investigations into the site. Ongoing cleanup actions include groundwater monitoring, hydraulic containment, groundwater treatment, treated water discharge, discharge monitoring and LUCs. In 2021, a treatability study to assess bioremediation was initiated at the site (currently ongoing).

- 129-3

129-3 is a shallow soil impact site, its primary COCs are metals, nitroglycerin, and VOCs. Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring. One remedial action, implementation of LUCs, is ongoing.

- 129-5

129-5 is a shallow soil impact site, its primary COCs are metals. Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring. One cleanup action, implementation of LUCs, is ongoing.

- 129-15

129-15 is a shallow soil impact site, its primary COCs are lead and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Completed soil cleanup actions include characterization, excavation, sorting, treatment, disposal, site restoration, site access restrictions, and groundwater monitoring.
